Vacation rentals for travel agents — FAQ
How much commission do I earn?+
Standard: 5% · Preferred: 7% (2+ confirmed bookings in the previous month) · Premium: 10% (5+ confirmed bookings in the previous month). The rate you earn in one month applies to new bookings the following month. Commission never exceeds 10%.
What is the commission based on?+
Accommodation revenue after discounts — the nightly rate the guest pays for their stay. Taxes, cleaning fees, guest service fees, security deposits and additional services are not included.
When do I get paid?+
Commission becomes payable after the guest checks out and the payment has cleared. We approve commissions and pay them once a month, and you can download a statement for every payment.
What if a booking is cancelled?+
Cancelled or fully refunded bookings don’t earn commission. If part of a stay is refunded, commission is calculated on the amount the guest kept.
Can travel agents book vacation rentals for clients?+
Yes. Approved agents can book any of our homes for a client from the agent portal: pick the home and dates, see the live price and your commission, and we email your client a secure payment link. The booking is credited to you automatically.
Are your vacation rentals commissionable?+
Yes — every home on USVacaRentals.com is commissionable for approved travel agents, at 5% to 10% of the accommodation revenue.
Do I have to handle payment or the stay?+
No. Your client pays USVacaRentals directly by card. We handle check-in, cleaning, maintenance and 24/7 guest support — you never collect money or change prices.
Can I earn on a guest who already booked?+
No — commission only applies to direct bookings made after your referral. If two agents refer the same guest, our team reviews it.
Who can join?+
Travel agents, travel advisors, agencies, tour operators and concierge services anywhere in the world. A business registration number helps but isn’t required.
