What we collect
- Booking and identity details you give us — name, contact details, party size, travel dates and the information needed to fulfil a stay or a transfer.
- Payment information, which is processed by our payment providers. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
- Communications with us — email, phone, messaging and form submissions.
- Property-owner and partner details where you engage our management, sustainable-income or partner services.
- Website usage data — pages viewed, device and browser information, and cookies used for analytics and to make the site work.
- Where a property is fitted with a smart lock or exterior CCTV, limited access and security data, used only for safety and property protection and disclosed on the relevant property page.
Why we collect it
To take and manage your booking, arrange transport, provide guest support, run properties on behalf of owners, meet our legal and tax obligations, prevent fraud, and improve our service. Where the law requires it, we rely on your consent — for example for non-essential cookies — and you can withdraw that consent at any time.
Who we share it with
We share information only as needed to deliver the service: payment processors; booking platforms where a stay originates on one; our own cleaning, maintenance and transport teams; insurers; and analytics providers. We do not sell your personal information.
International transfers
Many of our guests are outside the United States. Where we transfer data across borders we take steps to protect it consistent with applicable law.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information for as long as needed to provide the service and to meet legal, tax and accounting requirements, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Depending on where you live — including guests in the EU, the UK and California — you may have the right to access, correct, delete or port your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these, contact us and we will respond within the time the law allows.
Cookies
We use essential cookies to run the site and, with your consent, analytics cookies to understand how it is used. You can control cookies through your browser and through any consent controls we present.
Security and breach notification
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. In the event of a data breach affecting Florida residents, we follow the notification requirements of Fla. Stat. 501.171.
Children
We host families, and bookings are made by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children; where children travel on a booking, their details are provided by the booking adult.
